Health Challenge #15: Be compassionate with yourself

To be Spiritfull literally means to be filled with spirit, life-force, prana or chi.

It’s all about tuning in and tuning up the1457736917222 mind, body and spirit to the healthiest frequency possible. So how do we actually do this? I think it begins with fostering a beautiful relationship with the self. We often don’t pay attention to the words we use when we talk about what we did or who we are. I find it empowering to be mindful of how I speak about myself. I used to say horrible things to myself about me. I’ve learned to stop that nonsense and choose to speak to myself with love and compassion.

Notice if you put yourself down often or if you don’t give yourself credit when credit is due. Begin to listen to the words you use when explaining yourself or your actions. It’s seriously powerful!! If you notice yourself not being compassionate make a conscious choice to choose words that are more compassionate!

For your health challenge today, talk positive to yourself and about yourself, be compassionate and when someone compliments you, say Thank you! You are unique, amazing and beautiful♥

Health Challenge #14: Drink a fresh pressed veggie juice!!!!

If you are as lucky as I am you have a local juice shop that rocks your IMG_7587socks off! Fresh pressed veggie juice is packed full of some serious nutrients!! I try an incorporate at least 1 veggie juice a day if I can. It gives me energy, helps my digestion, uplifts my spirit and tastes so good!!!

Did you know that 95% of the vitamins and enzymes our body needs are found in the juice of raw fruits and vegetables??!! When you consume raw vegetable juice you absorb these nutrients more efficiently and give your digestive track a well earned rest. Just think of how many veggies are in one 12oz cup of juice?! A lot!!!

If you have a juicer at home get it out and make some JUICE!! If not find yourself a great little juice shop and explore some new flavors! See how you feel once you incorporate 1 fresh pressed veggie juice a day!

Health Challenge #13: Eat at least one vegetarian or vegan meal a day

If it’s true that we are just as much a part of nature as nature is a part of us, then we need to start making some serious changes!!!

Do you want to decrease your carbon footprint on the earth? Help
slow global warming and connect on a deeper level to the seasonal changes of the earth? Well, shortening your showers is great, getting an electric car is awesome, biking is even better!! But eating with the seasons and choosing a vegetarian or vegan based diet will decrease your footprint more then any of the activities listed above. Also, It will help your body heal, detoxify, alkalize and most likely help you lose a few extra pounds.  Quite often I hear people say that they could never be vegan or vegetarian! But if you look at the statistics concerning the meat industry and global warming you might be surprised.  I love cooking vegan and vegetarian meals and although I’m not labeling myself either I love them both. For me I have chosen to live 98% Vegetarian and 85% Vegan. This works for me and I love it! It might change but for now I’m thriving. Do you think you could choose to eat at least 1 vegan or vegetarian meal a day?? Try it out and see how you feel. Instead of Meatless Monday let’s change that to Eat Meat Monday and not eat meat the rest of the week!!!! ♥ Just a thought…

Health Challenge #12: Turn off the PHONE and Turn up the MUSIC!

1457414883554Today for 1 hour turn off your phone and dance around your house, do yoga, create, relax, enjoy!!! We all live such full lives and are always connected to our phones. For a little bit today unplug and feel the freedom dance in your heart. The truth is our phones are playing a huge role in our everyday health. It’s becoming an addiction and affecting more then just our brains. Being aware of  where you hold your phone is also very important to think about. I see people all the time with their phones in their pockets or stuck in their bras! It’s freaks me out! I might be a little extreme but I think the increase of cancer is due to the high frequencies these little devices put off. Not to mention the obsession we have with checking our posts, looking at pictures or working… SO, try to put it down for an hour a day. And if that seems like too much just silence it and do something that brings you joy.
