Health Challenge #13: Eat at least one vegetarian or vegan meal a day
If it’s true that we are just as much a part of nature as nature is a part of us, then we need to start making some serious changes!!!
Do you want to decrease your carbon footprint on the earth? Help
slow global warming and connect on a deeper level to the seasonal changes of the earth? Well, shortening your showers is great, getting an electric car is awesome, biking is even better!! But eating with the seasons and choosing a vegetarian or vegan based diet will decrease your footprint more then any of the activities listed above. Also, It will help your body heal, detoxify, alkalize and most likely help you lose a few extra pounds. Quite often I hear people say that they could never be vegan or vegetarian! But if you look at the statistics concerning the meat industry and global warming you might be surprised. I love cooking vegan and vegetarian meals and although I’m not labeling myself either I love them both. For me I have chosen to live 98% Vegetarian and 85% Vegan. This works for me and I love it! It might change but for now I’m thriving. Do you think you could choose to eat at least 1 vegan or vegetarian meal a day?? Try it out and see how you feel. Instead of Meatless Monday let’s change that to Eat Meat Monday and not eat meat the rest of the week!!!! ♥ Just a thought…
